Fresh litchi, which is in season now in northern Vietnam, is being served to business-class and premium-class passengers on Vietnam Airlines’ international and domestic flights departing from Hanoi.
Representatives of the national flag carrier said today that this is one of the airlines’ efforts to introduce local specialties to domestic and foreign friends. The airline sources the litchi from gardens cultivated in line with VietGAP standards in the northern Bac Giang province’s Luc Ngan district.
In the near future, other regional specialties such as longan will be added to the in-flight catering service of the carrier, giving the passengers a new experience of the airline’s services.
From the special traditional dish “pho” (noodle soup) to seasonal fruits, Vietnam Airlines is making efforts to combine its four-star service with Vietnam’s traditional culture when expanding its network worldwide.
