The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources has cooperated with Burapha University (BUU) and thMarine Science Association of Thailand to organize the 6th Marine Science Conference in Chonburi province.
The Director-General of the Marine and Coastal Resources Department, Jatuporn Buruspat, said on Monday (June 18th) that the theme of the 6th Marine Science Conference is "One World One Ocean: New and More Value of the Sea". The event will be held from June 18th to 20th at Bang Saen Heritage Hotel.
The opening session was presided over by the Natural Resources and Environment Minister, Gen. Surasak Kanchanarat. The purpose was to provide opportunities to lecturers, researchers, students, government agencies, private agencies and interested individuals to present their academic work, in order to share knowledge, opinions, experiences in marine science, and marine innovations and technology to add value or create new value for marine and coastal resources and preserve marine resources.
The event featured the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation for the study and management of marine resources by the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, government agencies and educational institutions, as well as special lectures.
