Muslim Thais in many parts of Thailand have gathered with their families to observe the salah ritual on Hari Raya Aidilfitri day.

Muslim Thais in Nonthaburi Province traveled with their children to join the salah ritual at Tha It Mosque on Hari Raya Aidilfitri, which is a day of celebration for Muslims all over the world at the end of Ramadan. The large gathering of people performed their religious ritual in harmony. After that, they visited their families, relatives and neighbours to seek pardons for any past misdeeds.

Meanwhile in Pattani Province, Muslim Thais traveled this morning to numerous mosques to perform salah for Hari Raya Aidilfitri. In the central mosque of Pattani, Muslim Thais of all ages wearing beautiful Muslim attire participated in the salah ritual.

This very important ritual is performed to ask a pardon from God for the sins committed during the past year, and also to ask forgiveness from one another. On this special occasion, the people also prayed to God to grant peace to the Southern border provinces.

Lastly, in Yala Province, Muslim Thais celebrated the day in their houses. After they performed salah in mosques and other places, each family gave a feast for their relatives. They asked to be pardoned for their wrong-doings, both intended and unintended, and enjoyed the meal together.
