The Ministry of the Interior has organized a fair featuring OTOP products as well as handicrafts from the royal projects of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of the Ninth Reign. The event is expected to generate over 900 million baht in revenue for local businesses.
The fair commemorates Her Majesty the Queen’s initiatives to create local jobs and revenue, which led to the establishment of the Foundation for the Promotion of Supplementary Occupations and Related Techniques (SUPPORT). The fair aims to exhibit and sell SUPPORT handicrafts and OTOP products to distribute wealth among local economies, reduce income inequality, and stimulate the country's overall economy.
The fair features over 2,000 booths from across the country showcasing unique OTOP products and handicrafts from their respective provinces. Popular items include personal accessories, silk-based products, and food.
Apichart Todilokwet, Director-General of the Ministry of the Interior’s Community Development Department, said today the fair has so far attracted over 100,000 visitors and is expected to generate over 900 million baht in revenue for local businesses.
The event continues until August 19th at Challenger Hall 1-3 at IMPACT, Muang Thong Thani from 10:00am to 9:00pm.
