Debt Clinic offers new relief to debt defaulters

The Debt Clinic is offering a new round of relief to various groups of defaulters.

Eligible help seekers are debtors of credit cards, cash advance cards or personal loans from at least two commercial banks and are people who have been unable to settle their debts for more than three months or before 1 April this year. The scheme applies to those having total debts of no more than two million baht. They must be aged no more than 65. Debt relief is denied to debtors whose lawsuits have been resolved in court.

Acting President and Senior Executive Vice President of Sukhumvit Asset Management (SAM) Niyot Masavisut, said today that participants in the Debt Clinic project will have their debts restructured into low-interest repayment plans. The debt settlement periods may be extended to 10 years.

The Debt Clinic project was launched for the first time in May and received an overwhelming response. The clinic reopened on 4th August and will offer services again on 18th and 25th August.

Interested persons can register for debt restructuring at the Debt Clinic office on the12th floor of Lao Peng Nguan 1 Tower on Viphavadee-Rangsit Rd. in Bangkok, or may do so online at www.debtclinicbysam.com. ACMECS leaders to implement master plan for 5-year development cooperation

 The leaders of countries participating in the Ayeyawady – Chao Phraya – Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit, vowed to implement a five-year master plan for regional development, before the official opening ceremony this morning. DPM Prawit:Govt yet to set dates for political party meetings
