The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) is preparing to organize a national exhibition this year to showcase research from across the country and to promote commercial adoption.
NRCT Secretary-General, Dr Sirirurg Songsivilai, said the exhibition is a collaboration among research networks and agencies nationwide. The event, currently in its 13th year, will take place from August 9th - 13th at Centara Grand Hotel and Bangkok Convention Center at CentralWorld.
Under the theme of research for security, prosperity and sustainability, the exhibition will serve as a platform to showcase Thai studies for commercial adoption by both domestic and international entities, supporting the development of research and innovation in Thailand. The event will feature seminars, contests, products sales and smaller exhibitions to address real-world solutions.
Some of the innovations being showcased include a 3D microscope and printer for medical use by Suranaree University of Technology, a processing method for creating value-added rubber by the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research and a development of the Praewa silk design from Kalasin province by Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon.
