Canal side improvements continue along Khlong Lod

Bangkok officials ths week continued to organize canal side areas on Rattanakosin Island, working most recently on the Wat Rajanadda area along Khlong Lod.

Phra Nakhon District officials have removed structures encroaching on public space beside Khlong Lod. The Wat Rajanadda area is one of several locations Bangkok administrators have marked for reorganization and development to achieve cleanliness and improved order. The area is also important as it is favored by tourists for accommodation while visiting the capital.

Authorities have also begun discussing reorganization of the Wat Thepthida area with community members, noting several structures that need to be removed for the benefit of citizens and tourists.

Bangkok administrators were earlier tasked by the government to clean up and bring order to all the canals of Rattanakosin Island to both preserve and develop them for future use.

ACMECS leaders to implement master plan for 5-year development cooperation

The leaders of countries participating in the Ayeyawady – Chao Phraya – Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit, vowed to implement a five-year master plan for regional development, before the official opening ceremony this morning. DPM Prawit:Govt yet to set dates for political party meetings

The Deputy Prime Minister for Security Affairs has insisted it is not yet time for the government to set clear dates for meetings with political parties or to lift the ban on political activities.
