The Department of Business Development, Procter & Gamble Trading (Thailand) Ltd., and the Thai Wholesale & Retail Trade Association are collaboraing to organize the “Red to Blue Ocean” seminar with the objective of helping Blue Flag and community shops adjust themselves to change in the digital economy era.
Apart from the seminar, there was a business matching opportuity for more than 200 wholesale and retail businesses, regional product representatives, community product developers and SMEs chosen and developed by the Ministry of Commerce. The business matching is expected to generate more than 100 million baht in economic value.
Minister of Commerce Sonthirat Sonthijirawong stressed that this group of SMEs will coach all 400,000 Blue Flag and retail shops in order to help them keep up with technological changes and become more competitive. Furthermore, the ministry will sell community products at the Blue Flag shops to help strengthen grassroots economies.
