The Ministry of Culture has organized a seminar for religious organizations and government officials to understand the practices and traditions of different religions
The Permanent Secretary for Culture, Kritsayapong Siri, said on Tuesday (June 19th) that the seminar will promote unity of people of different faiths. When people unite, they can help propel the country's interests.
Mr. Kritsayapong said religions bring hope to many people, and religious leaders can use their teachings to rescue people from their misery and make them a better person.
On January 31st, 2017, the cabinet instructed the Ministry of Culture to be in charge of preserving and promoting all religions, as religions are one of the three traditional pillars of Thai society alongside the nation and the monarchy.
