The Deputy Minister of Defense, Gen. Chaichan Changmongkol, presided over the opening of the annual Crisis Management Exercise (C-MEX 18).
The C-MEX 18 is aimed at tackling threats and implementing security plans to better prevent disasters. The event is being held from June 5th to 8th, 2018, at the Berkeley Hotel Pratunam, Bangkok.
Participants include representatives from relevant agencies, such as the Government Public Relations Department (PRD), the Bank of Thailand (BOT), the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Transport, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Deputy Minister of Defense said the ever-changing world environment has led to more security threats, so different sides in Thailand need to join forces to train and fine-tune their crisis management planning. Thus, they would be able to effectively deal with security issues in various dimensions.
