The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs has indicated that the ACMECS Master Plan is integral to building sustainable growth among member nations. He also underlined connectivity as an essential component in preparation for the Asia Rising era.
The comment by Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Somkid Jatusripitak was made during the ACMECS CEO Forum. He implored representatives of member nations to use the summit as a platform to draft strategies to sustainably maintain their growth. He underlined that the unification of ASEAN is not possible without the amalgamation of the CLMVT cluster.
He said the master plan aims at minimizing obstacles in moving capital, labor and goods by adjusting rules and regulations and implementing technology to facilitate the process. Dr. Somkid also talked about the establishment of the ACMECS Trust Fund that will ensure all member nations have access to the capital they need.
Furthermore, the Deputy Prime Minister stated that aside from the cooperation of the administrative side of the ACMECS member states, the private sector of each country must also play a part in advancing the master plan, in order for it to achieve its full potential.
