First Samut Sakhon shrimp eating festival kicks off

Deputy Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Lak Wajananawat presided over the opening ceremony for the first Samut Sakhon shrimp eating festival.

The event was attended by Samut Sakhon Provincial Governor Amphai Hankraiwilai, Samut Sakhon Chamber of Commerce President Amnat Noothong, the Chief of Samut Sakhon Provincial Office of Fisheries, the Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand, Samut Songkhram Offce, heads of government offices, the private sector, shrimp farmers, fruit and vegetable farmers, processed seafood entrepreneurs and press members.

There are a large number of booths selling various kinds of food from Vannamei shrimps. The event is held in response to the government’s policy to solve the Vannamei shrimp price slump.

People are invited to the first Samut Sakhon shrimp eating festival during June 15-17, 2018, from 9.00 a.m. to 8.00 pm at Talat Thale Thai Market, Tha Chin community, provincial seat area of Samut Sakhon. For more information, please call 08-7577-7948, 09-1516-4497 and 0-3482-0822.

ACMECS leaders to implement master plan for 5-year development cooperation

 The leaders of countries participating in the Ayeyawady – Chao Phraya – Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit, vowed to implement a five-year master plan for regional development, before the official opening ceremony this morning. DPM Prawit:Govt yet to set dates for political party meetings

The Deputy Prime Minister for Security Affairs has insisted it is not yet time for the government to set clear dates for meetings with political parties or to lift the ban on political activities.
