Min of Agriculture hosts SIMA ASEAN Thailand 2018

The Southeast Asian Agri-Business Show (SIMA) ASEAN Thailand 2018 is an exhibition of innovations in agricultural products under the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy that meet the agri-business needs of the Asia-Pacific Region.

Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Teera Wongcharoen, said today that the ministry has organized SIMA ASEAN Thailand 2018 to demonstrate the concepts of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej's Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and agricultural innovations in water and farm management. Farmers and agricultural operators can familiarize themselves and experiment with agricultural machinery and technology, and learn comprehensive farming practices from all ministry agencies to meet the agenda of sustainable agriculture.

The Asia Pacific region has the largest agricultural industry in the world, valued at over 6.4 trillion US dollars and with a continuous and sustainable growth rate. The agricultural network that encompasses Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asia has therefore collaborated with 12 agencies within the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives and leading companies to organize the exhibition. Product and machinery showcases, including academic seminars, are to take place June 6-8 at Building 3-4 at IMPACT, Muang Thong Thani.

The NLA expects the new law to be ready for submission to the main assembly by August 20 before it goes through a normal process.
