The National Legislative Assembly has continued the Meet-the-People project, this time in Nakhon Sawan province.
Associate Professor Taweesak Suthakavati, a member of the NLA, on Saturday led a group of members of the legislature to Tha Tako district in Nakhon Sawan province, where he chaired the official launch of the NLA’s Meet-the-People project.
The ceremony was attended by Nakhon Sawan Governor Thanakom Jongjira and Tha Tako District Chief, Wichian Juhong.
Then, NLA members met with local residents to get information about their well-being and attended a public forum, which was organized as part of the Thai Niyom Yangyuen initiative.
In Nakhon Sawan, 131 teams have been set up to implement projects under this initiative to improve the quality of life of people in 1,535 villages in all 15 districts.
Later, the NLA team visited Ban Nong Tor to check on the local way of life and the area where the Yom River and Nan River converge before traveling to Chum Saeng district to get an update on the Thai Niyom Yangyuen initiative's implementation.
