NLA gets ready to host Asian Parliamentary Assembly meeting in 2019

The National Legislative Assembly is getting ready to host a meeting of the Standing Committee on Social and Cultural Affairs of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) in 2019.

Vice President of the NLA Peerasak Porjit, who is the chief advisor of the committee tasked to organize the APA’s Standing Committee on Social and Cultural Affairs, on Monday led a meeting to discuss preparations for the event, which is scheduled between February 12 and 14 at Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Center at Central World in Bangkok.

The meeting discussed the progress of the information system and the public relations plan, the design of the website for the meeting, the medical service and the security system for all delegates.

In addition, participants spent time touching on details of the draft resolutions related to Asian cooperation in information technology and communications, the promotion of health equality, the promotion of rights of migrant workers in Asia, and the fight against corruption.

ACMECS leaders to implement master plan for 5-year development cooperation

 The leaders of countries participating in the Ayeyawady – Chao Phraya – Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit, vowed to implement a five-year master plan for regional development, before the official opening ceremony this morning. DPM Prawit:Govt yet to set dates for political party meetings

The Deputy Prime Minister for Security Affairs has insisted it is not yet time for the government to set clear dates for meetings with political parties or to lift the ban on political activities.
