The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched the "Tourism for All @ Chonburi" campaign by taking a group of blind people on a trip, giving them memorable travel experience, and promoting tourism activities catered to all people.
The TAT Governor,Yuthasak Supasorn, presided over the opening ceremony of this tourism activity arranged for students from Bangkok School for the Blind to have a field trip in Chonburi on June 7th and 8th, 2018.
Mr. Yuthasak said the TAT and Nakhonchai Air, a passenger bus carrier in Thailand, have organized this campaign to allow blind students to have a true tourism experience, which could give them inspirations, and to promote the government's tourism for all initiative which encourages people with all conditions to have safe and convenient access to tourism attractions.
The campaign kicked off in Chonburi as it is a pilot area in the inclusive tourism attractions development project in Pattaya and surrounding areas. Participating students have visited Frost Magical Ice of Siam Gallery, Sattahip Naval Base, and joined in recreational activities under close supervision from staff.
Many students said they are delighted to join this tour, and wish the related agencies will continue organizing this campaign every year.
