Tourism and health sectors working toward the same goal

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports says the tourism and health sectors may need to work towards the same goal in order to generate higher revenue from health and wellness tourism.

Tourism and Sports Minister Weerasak Khowsurat, today attended a meeting to find ways to successfully transform Thailand into a global medical hub. Participants agreed that the standards of health and tourism services should be at the same level particularly when it comes to hygiene and tourist safety.

The meeting concluded that more public relations efforts are needed to cultivate awareness worldwide, informing the world community that there are medical experts in Thailand who can provide them with a wide array of services.

ACMECS leaders to implement master plan for 5-year development cooperation

 The leaders of countries participating in the Ayeyawady – Chao Phraya – Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit, vowed to implement a five-year master plan for regional development, before the official opening ceremony this morning. DPM Prawit:Govt yet to set dates for political party meetings

The Deputy Prime Minister for Security Affairs has insisted it is not yet time for the government to set clear dates for meetings with political parties or to lift the ban on political activities.
