International academics share ideas about education innovation

Academics from leading universities in the U.S. and Asia have exchanged views on education innovation and the development of Thai education for a sustainable society.

On Wednesday, the Faculty of Education at Srinakharinwirot University hosted the academic seminar "Innovation in Education for Sustainability" attended by academics from Indiana University, University of Massachusetts and renowned universities in Asia. Lecturers, students and researchers from the Faculty of Education, as well as those from outside the university, participated in the event.

The seminar stressed that research is an important tool in developing knowledge and it is a mission of higher education institutions to respond to national development strategies and society's needs.

ACMECS leaders to implement master plan for 5-year development cooperation

 The leaders of countries participating in the Ayeyawady – Chao Phraya – Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit, vowed to implement a five-year master plan for regional development, before the official opening ceremony this morning. The five member countries are Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand, which also constitute the CLMVT cluster. Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha presided over the opening ceremony. The summit is centered on approaches to carrying out the ACMECS Master Plan 2019-2023. DPM Prawit:Govt yet to set dates for political party meetings

The Deputy Prime Minister for Security Affairs has insisted it is not yet time for the government to set clear dates for meetings with political parties or to lift the ban on political activities. Speaking to the press, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan asserted that the Kingdom has achieved a certain level of reconciliation.
