The Ministry of Public Health is spear-heading this year’s Health for All campaign to promote healthy habits among different communities.
The Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Deputy Secretary General Dr. Poonlarp Chantavichitwong disclosed that families, temples, schools and hospitals are playing a key role in the Health for All campaign.
Representatives of each institution, including health volunteers and hospital personnel, have been trained to educate community members on how to prevent and overcome non-communicable diseases (NCDs) by changing eating habits, and increasing daily physical exercise.
The project is being trialed in four communities in the provinces of Khon Kaen, Lampang, Surat Thani and Saraburi and will later be carried out in other provinces across the country.
