Pathum Thani province has organized its third Agriculture and Food Safety Fair to promote the production and consumption of quality agricultural products.
La-ong Chuenchod of the Provincial Agriculture and Cooperatives Office said today that the fair is part of its campaign to promote the consumption of certified foods. The fair brings together over 200 vendors showcasing provincial products such as rice, fruit, vegetables, and processed foods. Several sideline activities raise awareness of health and food safety, such as exhibitions on the production of food and food contamination.
Other highlights include a blood testing service to measure the levels of residual chemicals and blood pressure, agricultural training courses, and demonstrations of agricultural commodities native to Pathum Thani, such as Pathum rice and red tilapia.
