Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha called on low-income earners to participate in occupational workshops to land them necessary skills and job opportunities.
The premier was briefed on an enhancement program by the Ministry of Education, which allows teachers to join the courses which promote the constant development of the teachers and reduces the costs.
He commented that the project reflects national education reforms which the government is pushing forward, but such reforms would require changes in the entire system and some time to proceed on.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Labor promoted measures for low-income earners registered under the state welfare campaign, who can choose to enrol in 58 skills development courses at Job Box.
He said the project is a part of the labor reformation which allows the low-income earners to show their capabilities and use their skills to earn more incomes. He also expressed his concerns over the safety at workplaces, and stressed the necessity for certifications and identification of workers who have completed the courses in order to ensure their capabilities.
The premier viewed an exhibition on the Tham Luang cave rescue mission arranged by the Ministry of Culture which will open to the general public during 22 August - 9 September 2018 at Siam Paragon shopping center in Bangkok, telling the remarkable story of the rescue mission to freed 13 lives trapped inside Tham Luang cave
He said a movie regarding this incident should be made by Thai producers with knowledge learned from the mission to be told in the film.
