Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha encouraged the general public to attend Thailand Research Expo 2018 showcasing innovation and research works.
The premier attended the promotional activity for Thailand Research Expo 2018 at Government House which will be held during 9-13 August 2018 at Centara Grand Hetel at Central World in Bangkok.
The opening ceremony of the expo will be presided over by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn with the event being held in honor of King Rama IX who is regarded as the father of Thai research as well as His Majesty King Rama X and members of the Royal Family who have contributed to Thailand's international roles in research.
The event will serve as a national platform for the presentation of useful researches which promote cooperation between agencies and research networks, pushing forward concrete implementation of researches and promote the development of researches and innovation at international level.
The expo will feature presentation of some 600 researches, 129 discussions, and the presentation of 101 researches in "Thailand Research Expo : Symposium 2018," as well as the "Thailand Research Expo 2018 Award" ceremony.
The event will also inspire the general public on the importance of research and innovations which could steer the country towards security, prosperity, and sustainability, in keeping with Thailand 4.0 model.
