Rajjaprabha dam will discharge more water from the reservoir to make room for more rainwater throughout rainy season, with the discharging volume closely monitored to minimize the adverse effects to villagers downstream.
Rajjaprabha dam director Chaiwat Manapanwong revealed the dam will discharge water from its reservoir after the discharge had previously been suspended due to high water levels in nearby areas.
The discharge will now be continued as the water level in Khlong Sok canal has returned to normal, while the water volume held in the reservoir is reaching the upper control range as the reservoir continues to receive water at the rate mote than 60 million cubic meter daily.
The discharge of water from the reservoir will assure that it will have enough capacity to hold more water during the next two months of rainy season. The volume of water discharged will be closely controlled to minimized the effect to residents downstream. The dam's regular structural integrity has been inspected and maintained.
