The Royal Thai Army has organized a ceremony to mark the 66th anniversary of the founding of four of its agencies and to acknowledge its officials for effectively implementing its policies.
Commander-in-chief of the Royal Thai Army, Gen Chalermchai Sittisart chaired the anniversary ceremony for the Directorate of Personnel, Directorate of Logistics, Adjutant General Department, and Office of the Army Secretary. The ceremony paid homage to the statue of His Majesty King Rama V and gave alms to Buddhist monks.
The military branch’s policies this past year include protecting and honoring the monarchy, conducting physical examinations and assessments of division heads, assessing English skills for department and division heads, and strengthening combat readiness for rangers based in the southern border provinces. Programs also include assistance for people with disabilities and their families including employment opportunities, providing veteran benefits to the families of officers killed or disabled in the line of duty, and developing electronic database systems.
