The adviser of the Thai medical unit in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Utissak Harirattanakul, led a team of medical personnel to provide health check-ups to Thai pilgrims, along with advice on how to take care of themselves before taking part in the Hajj.
Dr. Utissak, who is also the Chief of the Songkhla Provincial Public Health Office, said on Monday (Aug 6th) that the Thai pilgrims can undergo health check-ups in Mecca and Medina, Saudi Arabia. He said his team also plans to visit them at their accommodation.
He said a total of 692 patients so far have their health assessed by the Thai medical unit in Saudi Arabia, and 14 of the patients have been hospitalized.
The pilgrims have been advised to sleep for at least seven hours a day and always wear a face mask when going outside.
